Tails7 is a Mode7-style object mapping engine for Clickteam Fusion.


❗All examples are for the R1.0.1 release version.

All examples are a demonstration of the Tails7 engine created by me; Foxioo. 
All demos were done simultaneously while improving the engine, what does this mean? 
 Some demos may work on previous versions (R1.0.1 or R1.0.1_10_05_25). 
They may have bugs, not include some things in the final version. (At the time of publication, it's R1.0.1_10_05_25a) 
 So don't be surprised that there are no some modes in at least Mapping Screen Mode in Tails7 Mapper Object.

ℹ️ Here is a package of example projects demonstrating the Tails7 engine. (There are currently 5 examples available, but more may be added in the future):

  • 3D Model Test - A demonstration using sample 3D models.
  • Fxo School House - A simple clone of the Baldi's Basics game. (Not finished)
  • Particle World - Demo showing some examples with particles.
  • Playground - A small board where you can paint on the walls.
  • Rythmix - A basic rhythm game that involves pressing one of four keys at the right time.
  • TailsCD - Play a special stage from the game Sonic CD.

3D Model Test

This example includes basic and more advanced 3D models using this engine.

Controls:

  • W, A, S, D - Move
  • Q, E - Change of distortion
  • Left / right arrow - Camera rotation (X axis)
  • Up / down arrow - camera rotation (Z axis)
  • O, P - Rotation of the model (X axis)
  • K, L - Rotation of the model (Y axis)
  • M, , - Rotation of the model (Z axis)
  • 1 - Hide all sprites
  • 2 - Show all sprites
  • 3 - Transparent fading
  • 4 - Opaque fading
  • 5 - Enable automatic camera rotation around the model
  • 6 - Disable automatic camera rotation and allow manual movement

Fxo School House

⚠️ The example is not fully finished, it was meant to be similar to Baldi's Basics in Education & Learning, I used a piece of music from that game.

Particle World

Demo showing some examples with particles, there are several worlds.

Controls:

  • W, A, S, D - Move
  • Space - Jumping
  • Left / right arrow - Camera rotation (X axis)
  • Up / down arrow - camera rotation (Z axis)
  • Tab - Lock/Unlock mouse
  • Left Button Mouse - Interaction with the door

Playground

 Draw on the walls using paint on a small brick board.

⚠️Note:  Mauzymice Cat is a character by Mauzymice Also the game has no optimization, all walls are in 1/3 mode.

Controls:

  • W, A, S, D - Move
  • Space, Shift - Changing the Z position
  • Left / right arrow - Camera rotation (X axis)
  • Up / down arrow - camera rotation (Z axis)
  • Left Button Mouse - Drawing with paint
  • Tab - Lock/Unlock mouse
  • 1, 2 - Change paint color

Rythmix

A very simple game reminiscent of osu!mania.

Notes appear and you have to do it in time to score points. The notes are randomly generated.

Controls:

  • - Red key
  • X - Yellow key
  • 2 (Num pad) - Green key
  • 3 (Num pad) - Blue key


Tails CD

A simple demo showing what a special scene recreated using the this engine can look like. Destroy 10 UFOs on the board within the time limit without falling out of bounds.

⚠️ Note: This example uses assets from the Sonic CD game. All textures, music and sound effects are the property of SEGA and Sonic Team.

Controls:

  • W - Move
  • Left / right arrow - Camera rotation (X axis)
  • Space - Jump
